The Koopas were formed in 1999 in Southwest Texas! The band was a short lived effort which went on from 1999 to 2002. In that 3 year time span they cranked out 27 killer songs scattered over various projects. One of which is the first 5 songs on this album, these songs were meant for the legendary Mutant Pop Short Run Cd-R series but the label folded before it could be released. After years of laying dormant we reached out to the singer Poppy Robbie and were able to strike up a deal to remaster and release these songs properly! Members of the Koopas have went on to form a bunch of killer pop punk bands like Joe Jitsu, Breaklights, Closet Drama and more! Long live the Koopas!
